About Denise Huebner

Denise Huebner serves as associate superintendent for Student Services and Post-Secondary Success (formerly Special Education and Student Services). She previously served as the associate superintendent for Eastern Elementary Schools. She has also served as a principal at the preschool, elementary, and middle school levels, and as a special education educator at the high school and elementary level.

As associate superintendent for Student Services and Post-Secondary Success, Huebner oversees the Departments of Career and Technical Education; College, Career, and Student Support; Student Health and Wellness; and Student Management and Alternative Programs.

Huebner holds certifications in Administration and Supervision, Pre-K-12; Specific Learning Disabilities, K-12; and Intellectual Disabilities, K-12. Huebner has been a leader in the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), treatment integrity implementation, and functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plan development.

Huebner holds a Master of Education from Regent University and earned her bachelor's degree, majoring in special education, at Northern Illinois University. She joined PWCS as a teacher at Signal Hill Elementary in 2005, and served as assistant principal at Yorkshire Elementary before becoming principal of Marshall Elementary in 2011. During much of her tenure at Marshall, Huebner also served as principal of Woodbine Preschool. She was named principal of Benton Middle School in 2015. From 2017-19, she served as Associate Superintendent for Eastern Elementary Schools, overseeing 17 PWCS elementary schools.
