CTE Advisory Council

Vision

The Prince William County Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Council works cooperatively to fulfill the Prince William County Career and Technical Education mission of providing opportunities for all students to become lifelong learners and employable productive citizens who can adapt to a rapidly changing, highly technological, global community. Its primary responsibility is to advise the Prince William County School Board regarding policies and plans for Career and Technical Education programs and their relevance to the current and future job market. The Council also assists with the development of the Prince William County Annual Career and Technical Education Plan. The Council analyzes the extent to which Career and Technical Education, employment, and training programs represent a consistent, integrated, and coordinated approach to meeting the needs of the residents and businesses of Prince William County.

Mission

Prince William County students will be well respected for their academic ability and career and technical education skills. Prince William County Career and Technical Education program will serve as a model for other areas as a program that is community-based and provides career advising and practical education experiences for successful entry into the workforce, secondary education, or the military or other services. All Prince William students will be prepared for employment in a highly technological and globally competitive workplace.
