Sustainability of Federal Programs

Sustainability of Federal Programs

The Sustainability of Federal Programs team plays a key role in helping meet Prince William County Public Schools’ (PWCS) commitment to learning and achievement for all.

Our team collaborates with schools and central office to ensure high-quality programs in alignment with state and federal regulations. Our primary focus includes programming related to English learners (ELs).

What We Do

Our team works with schools and central office programs to help them enact strategies and best practices for the success and meaningful participation of all students in all PWCS educational programs and services, particularly for English learners and students from financially challenged areas.

How We Do Our Work

To drive this endeavor, we prioritize essential methods through:

  • Guiding school leaders on how they can meet federal requirements for the education of English learners and students from financially challenged areas.
  • Gathering and analyzing data to establish best practices.
  • Promoting organizational coherence through close collaboration with school leaders and central office programs.
  • Regularly visiting schools to support the implementation of best practices.
