Health and Physical Education

Health, Physical, Driver, and Family Life Education

Prince William County Public Schools has a K-12 Health and Physical Education program that includes Driver Education and a Family Life Education program for students in grades K-10.

In our Physical Education classes, students learn important skills and concepts to help them make healthy choices throughout their lives. They get to practice skills in movement, personal fitness, responsible behaviors, nutrition, and leading active lifestyles.

Health Education teaches students the knowledge and skills they need to make safe and healthy choices.

Driver Education, integrated into Health and Physical Education 2 (HPE 2), focuses on providing teens with the essential skills for responsible and safe driving within our communities. For more details about our classroom and in-car driver education program, please visit our Driver Education webpage.

The Family Life Education (FLE) program teaches students about human growth and development, healthy relationships, and emotional and social health. To learn more about our Family Life Education program, please visit our Family Life Education webpage.
