PWCS World Language Adopted Textbooks
The following textbooks are recommended by the World Languages Textbook Adoption Committee in 2015-16 comprised of 60 teachers and parents. The levels and special program materials for each language will vary based on the middle and high schools where the courses or upper level classes are offered.
The less commonly taught languages (LCTs) such as Arabic, ASL (American Sign Language), Korean, and Russian have very limited choices for the public school 6-12 programs. As newer materials become available on the market, these programs may purchase supplemental materials using Regulation 653-4 for this purpose.
Special programs such as Advanced Placement, Cambridge, and the International Baccalaureate programs have specialized materials that need to be purchased to align with their programs.
