Assembly Permits

The Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office is committed to protecting lives, promoting public safety, and assisting all parties involved to provide a level of service that will ensure a safe and successful event.

The Fire Marshal's Office reviews all special school and community use events assessing the fire safety needs including fire lanes and public safety access; tents and temporary membrane structures; fireworks, pyrotechnics, open flames, theatrical flame or laser performances; occupancy loads; exiting and egress; use of decorative materials and finishes; use, location, and storage of propane or other fuel type equipment; and crowd management.

Through a collaborative effort with the Fire Marshal's Office and the Risk Management and Security Department, we have assembled a document to support school staff in determining which activities will need a special permit.
