Swim Lessons FAQs

Q. Are locker rooms available for use by swim lesson participants and patrons?
A. Yes, the locker rooms are available for use by swim lesson participants and other patrons; also, we have four family changing rooms that are available.
Q. How is pricing determined for your swim lessons?
A. The price of each swim lesson starts with a $30 base fee. This fee is designed to cover the overall operation of the Aquatics Center and things like utilities, chemicals, and supplies. The remainder of the class fee is based on the number of classes per session (i.e. 5, 6, 7, or 8) and the length of each class (i.e. 30, 40, or 50 minutes).
Number of Lessons
5 6 7 8 12
Length of Class (Minutes) 30 $55.00 $60.00 $65.00 $69.00 $88.50
40 $63.00 $69.00 $76.00 $82.00 $108.00
50 $71.00 $79.00 $87.00 $95.00 $127.50
Q. Can I watch my swimmer during class?
A. Yes! Guests here to observe swim lessons are required to sit in the mezzanine area upstairs.
Q. My swimmer has not been in lessons in over a year, what level should I register them for?
A. We recommend starting your swimmer at a lower level. As some swimmers may have lost their skill level it is very important that swimmers are placed in the appropriate level.

We are now offering free swim lesson assessments! Sign up here to do an assessment with one of our swim instructors.
Q. What time may I come in for my lesson?
A. Swimmers and accompanying adults may enter the Aquatics Center ten minutes prior to the start of the lesson. After checking in, you will meet your instructor in the lobby or wet classroom (please follow team member instructions). After the swimmers depart for lessons, accompanying adults should head upstairs to the mezzanine to watch the lesson.
Q. How do I register for swim lessons?
A. Visit our ACTIVENet page for information about our current swim lesson offerings, fees, and registration.
Q. If I register after the start of a swim lesson session, can I pay a pro-rated fee?
A. Due to the high demand for our swim lesson program, we are not able to pro-rate registration fees for our lessons.
Q. What is the refund policy for swim lessons?
A. PWCS Aquatics Center Swim Lesson Refund Policy
Not attending the program does not entitle a participant to a credit or refund. When enrolled in a program, the participant is reserving space, time, and staffing regardless of whether the participant attends the program.

When special circumstances arise where participation is not possible (e.g., family emergency), a participant may request an account credit or refund. With a doctor’s note, medical refunds are granted only if they require a full withdrawal from the remainder of the session.

No refunds will be given after the first day of class; no make-ups or refunds will be given for missed classes.

When the facility temporarily closes due to events outside of our control (e.g., inclement weather, equipment failure, government shutdown order, etc.), guests will be issued a prorated program credit for each class or session missed, valid for 12 months toward any activity or membership. Credits will be applied to any past due or future scheduled payments.

Refunds will be granted on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, please complete this form: refunds.pwcsaquatics.com.
