Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) is dedicated to supporting students of all disabilities through its Special Education programs. We provide specialized instruction, resources, and services to help students with disabilities succeed. Our team works closely with families, educators, and the community to ensure every student has the tools and support they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Parent Resource Center

The Parent Resource Center helps families of students with disabilities be active participants in their student's education.

We provide information, support regarding the special education process, and connect families to resources.

Section 504

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 protects the rights of individuals with disabilities in public schools, and other programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.

Students who have a disability that substantially limits one or more major life activities are protected under Section 504.
